祖古對弟子的䦕示
弟子問：現在社會人與人之間想生起慈悲心愈來愈難，修什麼法可讓自己慈悲心增加快一點。
祖古答：首先我們心中須有慈悲的種子，之後透過自己不斷的累積資糧及福報，並從最基本的分享及關懷做起，從家人，朋友，社團及公司，到社會及國家，至全球及一切有情眾。
Disciple asked Khentrul Sonam Gyeltshen Renpiche: how can we increase our compassion and mercy hearts more quickly?by what sorts of practice?
Renpoche answered; we need to have our compassion seeds in our mind first. After we can try our best to accumulate our credit by puja, offering, helping and sharing etc. At least we can start from family, then to friends, society, country to other country people and all sentient being. Gradually we can feel our mind change and improve.
弟子問：可以皈依上師嗎？須觀察弟子3年嗎？
祖古答：祖古相信台灣的弟子都有很深的佛緣，今天會來請法並願意花時間聴聞，就是好的証明。這也是祖古願意花時間講授五加行的內容及其重要性。祖古相信願意實修多傑林巴伏藏王傳承五加行的弟子，是跟祖古有深緣的弟子，是願意護持傳承的弟子，他深信台灣弟子在學習及觀想會有很快的進展與進步，自己的心更強了，也能做更多利益他人的事。所以他願意接受弟子的皈依。
在皈依時，要想自己是佛的弟子，自己願意護持佛法並做利益他人及一切有情眾的事，自己深信佛法，並得到傳承的上師本尊空行母的加持。
Disciple asked: We would like to refuge Renpoche today. Do we need to wait for Renpiche to observe us and see if we are qualified to be your disciples?
Renpiche answered: I truly believed Taiwan disciples have good Buddhism connection and easy to comprehend Dharma teaching and willing to persistently learning and making progress. This is why I am willing to spend lots of time to do Preliminary teaching as it is one of the most important foundation for learning dharma.
When we refuge today, we need to think we are officially Buddhism practitioner now and we need to make our commitment to Buddhism practice and also increasing our compassion and always thinking for others and all sentient being. Our practice is not only for ourself, is for all people and sentient being.
