\nToday is a special day as it is Chinese lantern festival and all family getting together. It is also valentines day. We are doing Long Life Buddha ceremony, butter lamp light up ceremony and Mahakala ceremony on this special day.
\n
\nThe reason we need to conduct long life ceremony as we want to increase our life. We don’t know how long is our life but we need to try at least making sure in our limited life, we can live peacefully and healthy. This is why we need to practice long life Buddha sutra and to chant the mantra often. By doing this we can reduce our life challenge and obstacles. Long Life Buddha is actually the same as Amitaba inside. They only look differently from outside.
\nIn our limited life, we need to know life is very precious and we are much better than most other sentient being. At least we can learn Buddhism and dharma and try to treat those suffering source and factors. Gradually we take out the 5 poison and our mind is in peace not suffering. At this time we need to extend our life so we can continuous Buddhism practice and help others people to reduce their suffering and share our experience to them.
\nOur life is combined by 100 deities and if we harm or hurt others or ourself, we are actually hurting those deities. We need to respect each other because each of us naturally inside is all Buddha.
\nNow we are still healthy and young so we need to learn the Buddhism Philosophy and level of practices. Gradually when we are older and our mind is more quite and concentrate and easily to reach nature Buddha mind.
\nWe need to know the karma and we are who we are by accumulating life what we have done in the past. It is true for sure.
\nAlso today we offer butter lamp is to light up our mind brightness and we also dedicate to all sentient being and help them to see better from the darkness.
\nFor the protector Mahakala practice, we need to see him like our close best friend. He can help us to solve short-term and urgent issues. Of course Guru Buddha and Dakini can help us but if our practice level not there, it is very difficult to be able to reach them.
