We taking vow now is to remind us to treat others and all sentient beings the same mercy Bodhisattva. By doing this, we might have chance to reach nature Buddha mind. Without taking this vow, no matter how hard or how long of your dharma practice, the person can&#8217;t never reach nature Buddha mind.. We all need to remember the importance of Bodhisattva.
